• Your first step will be sending a form. Please provide me with a simple description of your idea, the details (placement, size, etc), and any references you have. I will provide an estimation based on your information and also send you a link to book a consultation via email.

Please feel free to email tedkimtattoo@gmail.com if you don't receive a response within 7 business days after checking your spam or junk.

  • You will need a consultation before getting a tattoo. This means coming into the shop and spending time with me to discuss your tattoo. You spend approximately 30-60min discussing your concept and ideas, in detail.  You are more than welcome to bring additional references such as Instagram, Google images, other tattoos you've seen that you like, or any other references.

If you are not able to make the consultation or I’m traveling for a guest work abroad, the consultation will be done over email.

  • A deposit of $300 is required at the time of booking to secure your slot once you book.

The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and will be applied to the final price of your tattoo. Your deposit will be forfeited if you change your appointment more than twice. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment within the 72-hour cancellation window, please email tedkimtattoo@gmail.com

  • You will receive an email to book your tattoo appointment.

On average, each session typically takes up to 4-5 hours. The length of a tattoo session can vary widely depending on the size and complexity of the design, the location on the body where the tattoo will be placed.

A larger, more complex design covering a significant portion of the body may take multiple sessions of several hours each. Multiple sessions need to be booked at 3-4 weeks intervals.

  • Preparing for a tattoo appointment is an important part of ensuring that the experience goes smoothly and that the tattoo heals well. Here are some tips on how to prepare for a tattoo appointment:

    1. Stay hydrated: It's important to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin is easier to work with and can lead to better healing.

    2. Get plenty of rest: Make sure you're well-rested before your appointment, as getting a tattoo can be physically and mentally taxing.

    3. Avoid alcohol and drugs: It's important to avoid alcohol and drugs before your appointment, as they can thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding and complications.

    4. Eat a healthy meal: Make sure to eat a healthy meal before your appointment to help maintain your energy levels and reduce the risk of dizziness or fainting.

    5. Shave your area: Please shave the area you're going to get tattooed the night before or the morning of your session.

    6. Wear comfortable clothing: Choose comfortable clothing that will allow easy access to the area where you'll be getting tattooed. Avoid tight-fitting or restrictive clothing that could rub against the tattoo.

    7. Communicate with me: If you have any concerns or questions about the tattoo process, make sure to communicate them with me before the appointment. This can help alleviate anxiety and ensure that we're both on the same page.

By following these steps, you can help ensure a successful and enjoyable tattoo experience.
